A "Martha" week

I had a true "Martha" week from baking a considerable amount of baked goods. This weekend is the bake sale at the library book sale, and last night alone I made: snicker-doodle cookies, poppy seed jam sandwich cookies, and fudgy brownies! I also donated a couple mini loaves of Momma's Zucchini bread since I had about 8 in my freezer (I ate 4 in the past month!). Tonight, I am making some sugar cookies for the architecture folk that Sam studies with at KU.

This is from my first night of baking with most of all the ingredients I needed!

My mixer in all its glory! Beautiful.

Melting butter.. this was actually for the fettucini alfredo I made for dinner!

Snickerdoodles - in action! You can see my brownie batter in the middle right corner. It's the only photo I have of them!

Snicker-doodles! They are always a big hit.

These are the poppy seed jam sandwich cookies, and they turned out pretty good! I only had a heart shaped cookie cutter (the recipe called for two circular cutters, one smaller to cut out the center to show the jam), so I made this work! This one has a crack, but I let Sam try this one. I left it out for when he came home from studio. There's plastic wrap on the "Mmm" plate (It really says "Mmm!" We got some snack plates in Chicago. They were only $2!)

The stand mixer is going to work on the sugar cookies. This came in REAL handy last night-I don't know what I would have done without it! Seriously!

Lemons for the sugar cookies!

Sugar cookie dough.

J'ai fini! Voila, les biscuits au sucre! Yum yum.

That's it for now! Have a great weekend.

P.S. I fixed the color of the links. Now you can see where you add comments if you care to!
